Let’s be realistic, most of us just don’t have the space at home to dedicate an entire separate room to some inspirational home fitness gym. You know, that tranquil looking room that you see in the movies, where burning calories looks effortless, AND, even enjoyable because the location they are exercising in, is divine?
Back to reality guys! … We’d all love it (obviously), but that’s just not going to happen…. unless you plan on booting one of your kiddies out of their bedroom? Or, robbing the nearest bank to pay for this life of luxury?! That would be taking things a touch far!
So, Which Home Equipment Is Best?
The world of fitness can be confusing. You can easily feel bombarded by non-stop adverts promoting every imaginable type of home workout fitness equipment that exists. But, when everyone is telling you that their equipment is the best, who on earth are you meant to trust?
When I first got serious about health and fitness, and, primarily home workouts, I wasted countless days scrolling around the internet, unsure which home equipment I should buy. I had so many factors to consider i.e. room size, storage options, would I actually use it? etc.
At the beginning, I purchased equipment left right and centre! I was like a kid in a sweet shop, and I literally wanted everything I saw. If the product told me it would transform my body, I naively believed it would. In fact, on one Christmas, I gave my family a Christmas present list that only contained requests for fitness equipment. I’m certain they thought I had gone mad!!

At least I now know from first hand experience which equipment you need to buy from my home gym equipment list. you guys should purchase, without buying everything in sight, and breaking the piggy bank! Hopefully I can help you.
What Is The Best Indoor Exercise Equipment?
So, here’s my list of top 10 home fitness equipment that I would recommend you buy, if you have limited space, yet are still eager to burn fat and reach your optimal fitness levels.
1. Poiron Dumbbells
The first thing on your shopping list should be a decent set of Poiron dumbbells.
Dumbbells are a great addition to your fitness equipment as you can use them in so many different forms of exercise i.e. strength training, ab workouts, aerobic workouts. Building muscle is a great way to burn those stubborn calories too, as the more muscle you develop, the more calories you burn to support that sexy muscular physique!

There are loads of different types of dumbbells on the market, and at this stage it is more a matter of personal choice. Personally, I purchased a set of neoprene covered dumbbells because they are bright and colourful! Haha, yes I really am that sad!! When I first started weightlifting I decided that I didn’t want to feel “manly” as I exercised, so these dumbbells fitted my requirements perfectly. The neoprene lining is also smooth, and prevents scratches to my wooden floor!
As my upper body muscles developed, I realised I had been silly to consider weight lifting “manly”. It actually isn’t like that at all. My body confidence has soared as I have watched my more toned figure appear. In light of my new attitude, I’ve also purchased the TNP Rubber Hexa Dumbbells as these are high quality solid cast dumbbells. They provide other weight ranges that my first set of dumbbells do not.

2. Teknifit Loop Resistance Bands
Wow, have you ever had a set of resistance bands? I bought the Technifit Booty Builder and quite frankly I don’t think I walked normally for days after I used it! My butt hurt so bad! haha. Who would have thought that this little piece of fabric had such power?
Check out my Fitness Page for booty exercises to tighten your glutes. If you are keen to get leaner, don’t forget to exercise your booty. Why? … well the glutes are the biggest muscle group in the body. If you develop your butt muscles, then your body will need to burn more calories to feed those bottom muscles! It’s true! Where, oh where, would you be without your workout mat?
The mat that your exercise on is a serious must have piece of home gym equipment. Yes, that’s right! You may think it’s an added luxury that you will purchase at some point in the process, but YOU WOULD BE WRONG!!!
Never skimp on purchasing the best yoga workout mat that you can afford. The mat itself is a great investment, because it offers your joints and bones the comfort and physical protection your body deserves. Think of it this way, if you are going to go to the effort of exercising, why make the process more uncomfortable than it needs to be?
Make sure you purchase a thicker mat, because it offers a greater level of padding to your body. If you rush out and purchase a basic cheap mat, you will quickly regret it. In fact, cheaper mats are simply false economy in my view, because they are often thinner and do not offer your knees and bones as much protection from the hard floor, whilst you are exercising.
4. Powerspin Evo Arm, Tricep & Shoulder Workout
I was given one of these Powerspin Evo Arm Spinners as a Christmas present. If I’m honest I didn’t actually take the product seriously in the beginning! It just sat in the corner of the living room, next to my other exercise equipment. It didn’t get used. I would go as far as saying that it became an unnecessary ornament for a couple of months!!
Why? Because I wasn’t that sure what to do with it!!
Literally, I’m not kidding!! haha
The first thing I recommend you do after purchasing this item, is watch the product workout videos. Yes, 9 minute workouts may not sound hard work, but they really are!
The Powerspin is amazingly good at developing your arm, tricep and shoulder muscles. If you are not a great fan of weight lifting to strengthen your arm muscles, try this simple device instead. It offers a continual resistance that real tones your arms, and core whilst you use it.
Oh man, the workouts are so much harder than they look! I seriously never even considered this simple gadget could give the user a high intensity workout, BUT IT DOES!!
5. Escape Fitness Deck V2.0
If you are planning on taking your health and fitness seriously, then you need to buy the Escape Fitness Deck V2.0.
Yes, the fitness bench does have its competitors (as does every product). But, in my personal view its still the best all rounder fitness deck there is, unless you fancy spending ludicrous sums of cash, anyhow! And, if the later is the case then I highly doubt you would be reading this post anyhow, as you would have your own personal gym with a nanny to look after the little rugrats!
Escape Fitness Deck V2.0 Review
Escape Fitness Workouts offer great aerobic exercise routines as they really get your heart rate up. The soft cushioning material on the top of the fitness deck makes for more comfortable workouts (a factor less considered by the major product rival to this product – you know who I mean?!).
The deck offers two heights to work from, plus a range of different formats which make it possible to achieve the workout activity you desire i.e. aerobic steps, strength training, or resistance band training etc.
